Default RE: Extreme Flight 87" Yak 54 - Build & Fly

ORIGINAL: edgeman55-RCU

I have the same thoughts.I will pre order one of the Aerotec pitts for a new DA50 I have coming. As far as end of July that could turn into Sept/Oct as we have all seen this to be the case all to often. If Chris and Mike come up with there own Pitts I will be first in line to get one.Oh well untill then i will just have to be happy flying my good ol Extreme 87" Yak

My thoughts exactly.

I flew my 87 EF Yak-54 today, and really got aggressive with it. It is fantastic, and only the truly addicted need another plane.

The way this plane does a tumble from nose up hover is just plain insane. Just like or better than the best shockie I have ever flown.

I have one question to those who have logged a lot of gallons on one of these....

Has anyone had a wing-tube split or fray or crack on the ends??

I have a very small mark on the end of my Wing-tube , that looks like it might end up splitting there....I am being paranoid, but it is a deep gouge , about 2cm long and half the thickness of the tube deep.

Eh??

I don't think I will ever be going back to the Extra Pound and half Yaks.
