Hovering is all about power to weight ratio, and running a large enough prop for the thrust you need. You definitely need a bigger (diameter, maybe pitch, too) prop, but to spin the bigger prop fast enough for the needed thrust,, and have the throttle response, you need a bigger engine. Something in the .60 range should do it, but really need to know the weight of your plane. I figure a .40-size is in the 4-1/2 to 5 pound range.
