RE: glueing plans down to building surface
Hi, I Buy inexpensive cork buletin boards and remove the metal or wood framework. The cork is usually about 1/4" inch thick or so with a backing that holds pins exeptionally well and has a long life. Since the normal buletin board isnt flat in and of itself, I glue it to an appropriate sheet of 3/4" mdf to stiffen it up. Then run it through the table saw to cut it to a nice flush appearance. works great and lasts nearly for ever .
