Yes HPI instructions for the most part are much better then most. I have 4 HPI vehicles so I firmly believe this. The only reason I question it is if you look at the X on HPI web site see how the chassis plates are at the transmission on the left side. There is a piece of the chassis missing on the X comparison to the original Savages. The only reason I ask is I would like to change to the X transmission case but want to know what all has to be done. If I can change with out to much problem then I would get a 3 speed. If any one does or has done this please let all know.
