Mike is too kind. I was the dumb !@# who couldn't run his own video cam.
That is not all that important but still feel bad.[
] Anyway it flew really well. Landing looked like it was fun! When Mike took off we had a NW wind at maybe 3 mph like he said. After a few minutes a front came through and the wind swung to anything from S SW to dead W at a steady 10-15 and some of those gusts were likely close to 20 or more. At our filed SW-W is almost a 90 degree cross wind!
It looked just like a pattern plane landing. Came in hot and refused to settle. Just hit a cushion at about 1-2 feet and cruised along. It looked pretty wild in a crab going down the length of the runway.
I must say it was impressive. Will try to get what little video I did get
to Mike ASAP. Mike Friday morning looks to be 0-2 mph from 0800 till 1100. Drop me a note.......
