This is where I`m at:All metal repairsare done, firewall Flattened ,Corvette Brake stuff under dash, and brake pedal is functioning.Fuel tank is ousted and filler hole covered.Got to fit the new doors, fenders, and hood.Fix whatever, and then, take it all apart again,once the shiming is figured out on all of it.The cab will be removed ,frame will get put under the box, and then that will all get pushed, into another garage, safe and sound ,while I Prep ,and apply, the Various coatings etc.
I`ve been wanting to build the DNU,(change name of the plane,to,,,, DIP?) since mid winter, so, Might just build 2 ,one for Mike ,and 1 for me.I just bought a new Futaba Micro Flite pack.A pair of those might look pretty cool sitting in the Truck Box, while we`re at the Street Meet Car shows that go on all over the place in the summer around here.
Anyways, I`ll be working slow, and easy,on this(truck), so as not to Kill myself.I`m allowed to TRY, but, Not allowed to Die(working)..It`s the, "Doctors orders"..
LOL...I also want to keep building on my F4U-5 Corsair,in spurts.Hang around here in RCU(Good Bunch of folks here),and build some more 1/2A planes.We`ll see how things pan-out ,I Suppose.Chow,for now.
Now,, we`re up to date!!Want to give the LST .074",another try ,soon, too .DAVE B.
