Wow....tape...clamps.....weights....I didn't have the patience, and I wish I had a picture of me straightening my ailerons. Pull up a barstool to my workbench, put the wing in my lap with the aileron flat on the countertop, put my left elbow on one end of the aileron and pull up the other side with my left hand.....then iron the wrinkles with my right hand. I'm an idiot.


I agree with rccardude (nice name by the way, I cut my teeth on 1/8 scale buggies before the airplane bug bit me). Keep the plane even if you don't fix it right away. It'll make for a nice rainy day project later on. I have two in a box awaiting such a day. One I'm sure I can rebuild, the other maybe, but it'll be a challenge and I guarantee I'll learn something along the way.
