Default RE: Extra Special CG?

The 3-1/2" CG is rock stable as long as the control deflections are maintained within reasonable limits. That same CG permits slower an softer landings, along with a somewhat less violent snap when one is performed. I found that most planes require a higher approach speed and are "snappier" at more forward CG's than one that is at the aft side of the normal range. The Edges and Extras both fall into that catagory, with a Giles benefitting greatly by moving the CG slightly aft. That pretty much applies to just about anybodys product.

Both the 28% Extra and Edge are excellent "first time gasser" and "first giant" scale planes for just about everybody. They are exceptionally easy and very satisfying to fly.
