You can not shoot a plane out of a tree with a shotgun. I had one stuck in a tree last year, 50 to 75 ft. up. No way to get it down. I tried everything and after a few days I decided to try to shoot it down in hopes of recovering some hardware items. I tried several different load sizes as well as deer slugs. They went through the plane like it wasn't even there. The plane didn't even move when it was being shot. No the plane wasn't wedged in a Y branch, it was perched at the very top of the tree, swaying in the wind. [:@]
