I had two depart in the air--actually found one, but had the same thing happen latter and lost it. Replaced the one on the YS 45 but last time flying the plane I noticed it was loose. Went to tighten and discovered the bolt had sheared mostly thru--a few turns of the screw driver and it popped off. I am either using bolts that are too hard, or too soft. I try to set the adapter nut up so the bolts are as short at possible. I heard that long reach bolts are prone to shearing. Any thoeries would be appreciated.
