i understand that a truggy is the best of a truck and buggy. it has the offroad capabilites of a truck, but the handling of a buggy. i thought it would be easier to put on some bigger wheels and tires to increase the offroad capabilities, but after driving the buggy i dont really need the second gear, so i think the single speed will help with the acceleration off road.... i think.
