Am I allowed to fly just once before joining?
Just in case some of the prior posts gives anyone the impression that this is one of those clubs where a field-nazi sits there monitoring whether everyone flying is a member or not .... that is definitely NOT the case, and the club has been
extremely welcoming towards non-members.
In the past, we've had 30+ non-club members descend on the field for a day of fun flying jets, without any complaints at all from the club about us taking over from the local guys, or us not ponying up the dollars to join the club. It is
the jet guys themselves who have been pushing for the non-members within our ranks to cough up a membership fee, because we want to thank the club for being so welcoming to us by ensuring that we help boost the club coffers a bit. That's why Dave et al suggested that you join. The membership fee is pretty low too - probably less than the cost of gas for you to make one trip down there. Of course, there's nothing to stop us donating a little extra on the side, given how low the fee is
A number of clubs nowadays are either hostile to, or at least wary of, turbines - so when we find one that is so incredibly supportive of us we should go out of our way to support them in return.

Yeah, what Gordon said.
The club has been incredibly supportive of our
Kero Frenzy, and we all want them to know how much we appreciate their hospitality. The only way we can do that is leave the place cleaner then when we showed up, and pay our membership like good folks.
