The #1 I hear from other people that crash. "I got hit". This excuse covers all means of dumb thumb. The pilots just wont admit it.

That is so true, and they wanna get the frequency checker from the AMA to see who is in the woods knocking down their plane. The worst part is some pilots wont fly at our field due to our "Gobblins". I asked 3 other local clubs if they had the same problems and all 3 said, yes every couple of years a few members assume someone is knocking them down.
