Yey!! Another U-boat builder!!

There are quite a lot of differences between the two types, mainly the dimensions and fuel storages. I personally like the Type VIIb better, faster, long range, and most of the top-scoring U-boats in WWII were of the Type VIIb!! As for plans, don't bother buying another kit just for the sake of reference, when I've started building my VIIb, a French modeler sent me a really nice set of VIIb plans that I have been following, they're quite the most accurateand detailed plans of the VIIb that I've seen yet.
