Nexus
Big sky.....
I am fond of kyosho for the fact of its simplicity and availability of parts. I startaed out with a concept 30 about 5 years ago. I unfortunately had no heli or plane experience!!!wow .....was that a mistake or what? After spending about 10 times the cost of a new concept I gave up in defeat!!The bird was never right after the first crash. I chalk this up to inexperienced building. I still have a little trouble with clutch glueing.Anyway,,,,,after a 2 or so year vacation,,,,,I decided to purchase a Nex 30.I got the ARF version from tower hobbies for $329 or $369. I installed the raido gear made a few linkage adjustments, and was hovering in abot 3 hours.I am not a 3-d flier, but I can hold my own when it comes to moving her around in forward flight, etc.I had a spill with her(nothing tremendous)And I let my seasoned rc plane flying brother try it in hover(she didn't make it then either!!!)In cliosing,I feel that the beginner can't go wrong with a Nexus 30,even if it's just til you earn your wings. I feel that you should learn every aspect of your bird in the "beginner"stage and you will become a successful heli-pilot.
Thanks .......Jim
