Forgetting the scale stuff for the moment, and the Panther does sound like a good suggestion, you have identified the lack of sport models on the market. If you don't want a twin boomer like a Bobcat or Boomerang or something like a Bandit there is very little to choose from in the P70 power range.

I have just ordered an Aviation Design Scorpion as the looks are a bit different with the twin vertical stabs.
