That's true. I wish we had some torque/hp curve information on these guys to compare to say a heli engine.
The problem is that you really have to "try it out" to see if it is a good fit for the heli and until enough guys have flown the little bird with a variety of engines, it's hit and miss.
Gear ratios can allow the engine to spin faster, but then that doesn't help on the clutch end of things.
