I had to grind out the cowl quite a bit for the muffler and carb for the BCMA 26cc to fit since they stick out the sides. The shape of the Showtime's cowl is not very good for a side-mounted muffler or carb, to be honest. And, to be even more honest, if I were better at cowl-carving, I could have made mine look a lot better.

Hey, if you don't mind the cost of the YS or Saito and the glow fuel to run them, go for it. At this size, it's really just a personal preference if you want to go with gassers since they weigh more. I find that my Showtime flies very well, and I'm happy with the gas engine in front. Once you get a little bigger airplane, gas will really be the only practical choice.
