Thanks for that, I am running at 30:1 at the moment whilst running in, MVVS spec says after using all the oil that they supply with the engine, go to 40:1 but no lower, its advice I will be following, I have found with some other 2 stroke petrol engines that going to 50:1 or even 60:1 as some manufactureres recommend does not inprove anything except less smoke, incidently the MVVS on 30:1 does not smoke unless opening up from low throttle and then only momenteraly,its obviousl burning most of the oil off so needs it.
