No do not use starting fluid. Take the glow plug out and place your glow igniter on it and see if the glow plug ignites. If not then you either have a bad glow plug or you have a dead glow plug igniter battery. If they both work then try priming the engine. When trying to start it up place your fimger over the exhaust stinger and try and start it till ytou can phisically see fuel go through the fuel line. You shgould be able to see it, then just take your finger off and try and start it. Get back if these do not work
