We had patience then......
Amen. I recently helped an Explorer Post build four LT-40s at a "tightly regulated" host facility and we could not use CA or Epoxy. I actually prefer aliphatic and PVA (Titebond, Aleen's) glues for most building, but CA does make framing up the wings soooooo much faster. We ended up smuggling the components out to CA the hinges and epoxy/glass tape the wing saddles and diluted for fuelproofing the firewall. Wish I had weighed the finished models. One group used two full 8 oz. bottles of Titebond and another used less than a third of one bottle.

How did we survive before CA? I still have 10,000 "T" pins from the old days of Elmer's and open stringer frames. And a stack of builder"s squares to hold the ribs while they dry.
