If you do not want to clear coat the table, an automotive paint OR epoxy (2 part ) paint.

If you want to spend the extra time to clear coat the table, use any paint you would like, then give it 2 - 3 coat of an ACRYLIC clear ENAMEL. Enamel will go over just about any other type of paint with no compatibility problems.

I recently did some tests on clear coat paints. Dupli-Color clear ACRYLIC enamel (automotive stores - gloss only ) AND Krylon ACRYLIC clear (satin & gloss ) in the spray cans are good to 15% nitro raw fuel. The test involved pouring some 15% fuel on the test panels and letting them sit for 8 hours with the fuel on them. Upon cleaning, the test panels were in perfect shape. There was no degredation of the clear coat or the underlying paint.
