You're going to need a longer tube. Ever seen when Elmer Fudd is trying to shoot Bugs Bunny and Bugs sticks his finger in the barrel and it blows apart? Cable whip will make the brass tubing look just like that. I'm hoping that it's only a trial fit right now.
Usually, mount the engine and your transom hardware then connect the stuffing tube to where it needs to be.
