RE: Outboard pipe advice needed
There's lots of car pipes out there, and considered implementing one myself but after balancing the work involved in making a header that can snake around to balance the pipe side to side I gave up because getting a header the right length and shape I had in mind, I deemed it to be too long to tune.
If your willing to sacrifice "looks" and strange hanger shapes (ie: upswept out the back or straight out the side) I suppose it could be done and be able to save a few dollars, but it would be all experimental so I just opted to buy a Silver Bullet and try it out. I'm completely happy with it's manufacturing but haven't run it yet.
