well the 46gt would torqu roll it at a high idle. So it may be an option but, think at 13lbs with a 73 inch wingspan the wing load is getting up there. at what point should i be consinrned about it..?
Depends a bit. What type of flying are you planning on (I know it's the IMAC forum, but that's no guarantee)? 3D requires a lower wing loading than precision/IMAC stuff. How much wing area does it have? 13lb does sound heavy for a 73" span model, though. At that span loading, it will have a pretty steep approach angle for landings. Not necessarily an issue, but if you were expecting a floater you might not get one.
Someone in the giant scale or gas engine forums put a Brillelli 40cc in the Wild Hare 73" Edge (73" span, 1090sqin) and it came in somewhere over 12lb (maybe over 13lb, I do not remember exactly). He was very pleased with the way it flew and said the gas engine version was fantastic. Just a thought regarding wing loading and size...
