Guys will not hesitate to drop $800 to $1000 plus for the latest greatest composite Yak, Edge, Extra, etc., that is just like three or four other ones at the field, but gripe about spending $800 for a nice glass and composite 96" span Cessna 185, which basically NO ONE ELSE MAKES??!?? Now there's logic in action.
Hmm, my built up wooden Yak was over $1000 - composites in the 100cc range are $1500 and up. The servos in my Yak cost more than this plane - looks like a good deal to me if you fly off water quite a bit.
