RE: Gyro for Funtana
Futaba makes or used to make a multiaxis gyro for that but being a helicopter guy and having a spare or two I tried one in my Funtana. About the only advantage I saw was you could slam full power on the run way and it would roll straight as an arrow. As for hovering or torque rolling I found very little help from the gyro.
Barring obtaining a multi axis gyro you would need one on each axis.
