Ralph-you might want to explore the "new" sullivan nyrod control rods that are carbon impregnated, they do not change with temperature like the old nyrod types, they come with several threaded rods for making the clevis connections, work great and easy to install. Also I use carbon arrow shafts, go to local archery shop and buy the odds and ends for a few bucks. Epoxy in a dowel with hole drilled for connector rod and you are in business, light and very little flex.
