Default T Fitting Blues

Hey Guys,

While advancing rapidly in the past year to larger planes, I've progressed to cowled engines. On my Funtana with a YS 110, I have T fittings for the fuel and pressure lines coming out the bottom exhaust opening. The only issue I have is when I try to pump the fuel OUT of the tank when done for the day. It takes over 5 minutes, I get fuel, then air, fuel, then air. Removed the cowl and watched for the air bubbles. While pumping it out, I pulled the fuel line from the intake port on the YS, and plugged it. The fuel pumped out solidly without any air bubbles.

So, is this normal with T fitting set ups?

Should I just run a straight line from the tank to the intake port, then run a 3rd line that is plugged just for fueling and de-fueling the tank?
