RE: trike to taildragger conversion for LT40
I would use aluminum gear and place it about 1" ahead of the leading edge of the wing setting level. Otherwise you will nose over all the time . Also I always use nylon bolts for the landing gear[1/4-20] and tap the screws right into the wood[no blind nuts] This will allow the gear to shear right off with no damage to the fuse, and all you need to do is screw the broken studs out and remount the gear with new nylon bolts and your ready to go again.
