Done with 5000t
rick I had the 5000 in for about 10 gallons I got it dialed in very quick. One thing that I liked about the 5000 was the book it tells you the best gain range and it talks about the servo arm length.
boom right out of the gate the constant rate was so pure I fell in love with it.
one of my favorite moves is to pull into a stall turn and let it fall backwards with just a tick of rudder input and see how slow you can get the piroete just one or 2 rotation. looks very cool when done smooth. the 5000 did this perfect cause of the instructions.
The 601 did not do this out of the box just because the book does not talk about servo arm length and so on I have the constant rate very solid now. as soon as I applied the same method as tuning the 5000 to the 601 the constant rate started work properly.
rick You will know what I am talking about when I say constant rate.
constant rate is the gyro system ability to hold a constant pirouette rate reguardless of the air speed. 0 air speed which any gyro can do or 80 mph.very few heli's can keep up with a gyro at the higher speeds.
