Default RE: Hawk Colour Scheme Help

Simply called "Red Arrows". Very good but I now have another which has more excellent photos of the aircraft : Called "Reds" by John Rands and published by AirLife. ISBN 1-84037-121-8.

The Grainger drawings you refer to are very good but have at least two fundamental mistakes, anyone spotted them ?

Of course for scale modelling there is an excellent CD available from Traplet featuring ther Reds aircraft which the team has supplemented for me with a photo CD of the new markings on XX306 which is now Scott Morley's (exec officer and Red 4) .

My second hawk is XX237, was Dicky Patounas' machine when he was leader.

My Hawks are in the final stage of preparation with the clear coats going over the markings, then gearing up.

Now, a highly succesful British Aircraft in widespread service and markings, with the RAF and RN , how could any Brit. even contemplate a foreigh air force colour scheme ????

Must say, Gordon, you look every inch the part in your zoot suit and turning trousers , halcyon days, what are you doing now in beautiful Devon ?

Best regards,

David.
