Default RE: Illegal?

ORIGINAL: Limit
Just wondering why it'd be illegal... I can see not flying when soccer games are going on and such, but how could it be dangerous to people or property?
I'll disagree with other respondents a little and say, it should be obvious why it could be dangerous to others, so the fact that it's not obvious to you suggests that maybe you shouldn't be flying in a public place like that. I fly at public parks in my city as well so I sympathize, but I am always aware that if my heli hit someone, or someone's house or car, it could do damage. I'm therefore very careful about staying well away from any people or property, and I'll stop flying if people show up to do some other activity at the park. Some towns really do have rules against flying RC aircraft in parks, and even if your town doesn't already, if you're rude enough to the officials you could probably prompt a new rule to be passed. Better to be polite and understanding.
