This one doesnt look too bad. What does it mean "resin model" also is this model solid? And one more thing I saw these watertight seal for pushrods it was a rubber thing. It llooke like umm.... you know the bendy straws. Well the part that bends, you see how that has this pattern that allows it to bend. Well i saw a pushrod seal that was rubber and looked like that. Is that a good seal.
Yep a resin model would be solid. When searching sub hulls look for keywords like vacuum-formed, GRP, fibeglass, styrene, etc. The seal you mentionned are called rubber bellows, they work really well and are espacially popular here in North-America and Europe. As for cost, $200 to $400 are considered "cheap" in this hobby, usually good quality subs amount to $700 or more...
