I had a similar problem. Servos went squirrelly, motors jumping around. Found out when I wiggled the tx, it would really happen a lot. Opened it up to look for bad wires from the antenna but all was good. After scratching my head a bit, I reached up and just screwed the atenna shaft back into the radio. It had worked loose as Synister's had. It happened within the first two weeks of ownership. I know you have returned it but worth talking about when you get back with the owner of the shop. They will probably spot it if that is the case.
