Don't be turned off by the voltage different. These packs hold their voltage under load as good if not better than any other battery.
My buddy with his E-sav has three different sets of batteries. (2) Venom 4600, (2) GP3300's and (2) A123 6.6v's. The A123's outperform both other sets by a long shot. He's runnin S600's and 22t pinions and can wheely all day with the 123's but can even get the front wheels off the ground with the nimh's. A123's can simply provide more power despite their lower voltage.
After using my 3s and my friends 2s packs, I simply can't imagine getting any other kind of batteries.
