Its probably a loose set or grub screw on your center drive train. Find the set / grub screw that tightens the front or rear drive shafts to the MX037 pinion / bevel gear.

In your manual, page 15 diagram 05-17 it shows the G36271 set / grub screw 5x5 that I am talking about. There is one in the front and one in the rear. If one of them comes loose you may experience exactly what you are stating. The ability to one way and not the other and / or slowly both ways.

If this is the problem put some lock tight on the set / grub screw and tighten it onto the flat spot of the ring / bevel gear (MX037).
