Default RE: Futaba FASST Recievers - Case Design and plug socket layout

ORIGINAL: Krysta

Hi Martin,

The reason your post was deleted on our Support site is that it did not pertain to the original post. When asking a new question that does not pertain to the original post, it is best to start a new posting.

Futaba thoroughly tested the connections on the R606FS receiver and there was no problems found due to vibration on the connectors. The depth of the case from the board to the top of the case around the plugs on the R606FS is the same as it is on the R156F, R133F and other newer micro receivers, also the polarity tab adds security.

It would take an enormous amount of vibration to disconnect your servo plug, and the amount of vibration that this would require would damage not only your craft, but the internals on all of your radio equipment, this is why a thorough check of your craft before flight for causes of vibration is a must.

Thanks Krysta

I still fly a FF9 Set (9C) and am awaiting delivery of an 8 channel TX and RX FASST Module

The 12FG set and this 8 channel module have "Traditional Style Recievers"

My 6EX was a stop gap set to try things out

I accept that this low profile rx is fine for low cost Park Flyers and Electric Models in general, but I still am concerned about the lead security in a power model or helicopter

It would be a very minor change to the R606FS or R607FS top case ijection moulding tool to increase the depth of the lip by 5 or 6 mm and look a lot neater

As I say I'll have my R608FS receivers soon so I just be using the 6EX and R606FS's for Electric

Rgds Martin

Just finally to say that to be able to go flying anywhere without the risk of Interference from another set is really a massive step forward for RC as is not having to wait for your frequency to become free
