if u by ur radio system as a set no u dont need any wires unless u plan on bying thingz like servo extensions those are xtra wires u use to lengthen teh distance if u hav a long sub hull batterys generaly come with appropriate plugs most use tamiyas style connectors that fit wit most escs and if u hav too moters you can use two escs or use only one if the current is not too strong ur sub only has one reciver hope this helps
