I did the same. I wrapped battery and receiver in foam and made them fit snug. I didnt even tie them in with anything and they have never come loose. Aerobatics....stalls, rolls or the har landings i had it first....they dont move. I place flat battery in the opening right behind the tank(has a slot along side it)....and the reciever in the oval space behind that. I did take a dremel and cut a half circle shape in the oval spot so that the plugs going into the receiver would clear without a problem.
