This kit was produced from the late 1980's through the early 1990's.
Designed by Dick Hanson, The Tiporare design was based on the Hanno Prettner Curare.
Mr. Hanson slightly enlarged the Curare design, removed the flaps and simplified construction.
This resulted in a cleaner and lighter airframe. The Tipo was a very competitive pattern ship.
Dave Brown flew this design to many victories in competition!
Wingspan: 65 Inch.
Wing Area; 720 Sq. In.
Recomended Engine: .60 2-Stroke (My suggestion for the best performance: .91 4-Stroke)
This was one of the last of the ballistic pattern aircraft designed. It was the end of an era!
This kit is new in the box. But, the fuselage was damaged by being packaged too tightly.
The good news is that I am a certified full scale aircraft mechanic and a composites technician!
I have repaired the damage using West Systems Epoxy and glass cloth. The repairs require finish sanding.
I garantee the fuselage is as straight as an arrow, and good as new.
I will double box the kit for shipping. The kit measures 58"x18"x8" That makes it an oversize 2 box.
