if i had a second gen, i would have gone to an adjustable strut. beings this is a first gen, and i am not a 'glass man' by any means, i wanted to try it like this first. this is all an experiment for me, to see how i could get one of these to run, and what it would take to make it run reliably, and be fun to drive. i love the learning process with these things. i have learned a ton in a short while, and will learn a ton more. i just wanted to share my experience, so, i'll do mine my way, and you can do yours your way.....
i took care of the wood and mounts, i won't have any problems. i'm sure the motor will be just fine like it is, i am leaving the cowl opening factory, because i run and race with guys around here, and with that wide open, i feel you would take in alot of water, because we run real close, follow, (wreck!!) etc..........
all in all, this will be an evolutionary project for all, so, we'll see where it ends up, cuz i sure don't know yet.......
