I'm sorry to heard of your problems. Believe me... I know.
For future projects, if I can give you a word of advise(from experience).
Don't wait until you need something before you order it.
Try to anticipate when you'll need it and order it well in advance.
With my last few projects. I ordered everything for the airplane within a week or two of starting so I would'nt run into that very problem. Fortunately, the funds were there to be able to do that.(not always possible I know).
I understand though about being told one date and pushed back to another, nothing you can do about that.
