Blade Tracking warning
Just a friendly reminder to the new guys who are just signing up to this forum;
Wouldn't you think by now that I would know not to ignore the upper rotor tracking. It was just off ever so little, yet I took the time to check shafts, bearing seats, flybar straight and balance, blade balance - all the stuff we go through, only to find the upper rotor was off track just a little bit and that shook the upper head, and that shook the flybar and that made everything unstable.
The devil is in the details. When the heli weighs next to nothing, it takes next to nothing to knock it out of balance.
I've been chasing this since I clipped my blades. I wonder how it flies now.
Experimenting will have to wait. I'll be outa here for a couple of days. My Mom just called and my Dad was at the hospital for a check-up and they found an aneurysm. He's having it taken care of Thursday morning. No problems expected, but at 82 years old, it's potentially a big deal. Any well wishes are appreciated.
Sorry for going off topic.
