These are good. I tend to rough them up and glue them in with 5 minute. I also put vaseline on the hinge line so I dont get glue in them.

You can push that pin into the wood to keep it from coming out, or take it out and use a T pin in the hinge and bend the other end so it doesn't come out. This makes it easy to take the surface off if you need to. You can cut 1/2 of the T off the top by cutting it if you just want to be able to get at it from the bottom and not see it on the top.

Also, a lot of people pin them by drilling a hole in the surface through the hinge and putting a toothpick through it and gluing it in. then sand the toothpick and fill before covering or painting.
