ok and you had no problems with them overheating trying to push a big boat? or are they restricted with a gearbox ?.its just id have thought those motors rev pretty high and maybe a slower more economical motor would be better?.i know i have a single 540 in a balsa pt boat thats as light as a feather and it gets dam hot so i had to water cool it and it still gets quite hot now.i have a small electric i could convert i did even think of making a foam hull like an airboat and power it with a single propped motor but id probably use an echo type motor that revs slower.
No, I haven't had any problems with overheating. The motors each have heatsink jackets which seem to do a fair job. The motors are probably 20-23 turn and do go to a gearbox.
