Default RE: Do you race your RC?

ORIGINAL: happywing

I live in Michigan and I race a lot:
Mini (Vendetta ST)
Mod Truck (T4)
1/8 Buggy (E-MBX5)
1/8 Truggy (E-MBX5T)

Most of my racing is at Washtenaw RC raceway near Ann Arbor. I also race at Factory Tracks in Highland.

[link]http://www.rcproductdesigns.com/images/wash6.jpg[/link] Here's a pic from Washtenaw. We affectionately call it "The Barn." That's me out there eating a brownie during the track build earlier this fall. That's my Truggy on the table. We get between 140 and 180 entries. Racing is every other Saturday.
How you doing hap,
When you are racing nitro do you need a starter box or will a drill start be Ok?
As you can see I havent really raced before but I have been intrested in racing for a while now. Im getting pretty bored basing around the house for the last 3 years and I was thinking about heading out to Factory tracks and try it out. I see you get a lot of entrys do you have novice or Rookie class? Do you just show up there or do you have to sign up before hand like a softball league? Its not to far away I live in Lake Orion so 35-40 minutes aint bad.
Thanks
