Default RE: Mike Pastro's CT-114 or F-18

After a few days of cutting out parts, and Christmas, the build slowly gets started. Last days of holidays then it's back to work tomorrow. [&o] The hard part is changing the design as I build to accommodate a separate wing. The original design is for a one piece assembly, but my car can't transport a the plane in one piece. I'm building this with the fixed gear, and separate aileron servos in the wings. Just bolt on the wing and plug in the ailerons. I might put mini servos for the elevators, but still building the sullivan tubes in place.
Compare the photos to the 3d cad in the earlier part of this thread. I've preinstalled the nose wheel bracket to the plywood bulkhead #2. The opening for the wings was shortened, because the wing will be trimmed back from the point at the tip of the leading edge. The so far has been pretty easy, which is why I picked it as my first scratch build from plans.
