I do not think that mamba max esc's should be banned from racing. It is just another tuning option for your vehicle. A person that is really good at throttle and steering control should be just as good as a person with a programable esc, it is just the matter of being able to control the power you are putting into your vehicle.
Again, this is just my opinion.
