I must be one of the lucky ones too. Me and my dad go out to the field, do father/daughter bonding, watch WWII movies, Top Gun Invitational, Warbirds over the Rockies, (we both love warbirds, he named me after the Curtiss P-40 Warhawk, Allison v12 engine) and since we're both on RCU we would mention a certain post, or did you read this one ? and we can talk about it, share our opinions. Its cool having my dad in it as well, because since my sister and mom don't have a clue about airplanes we kinda speak our own language. My dad buys all the planes and I help build some of his, I build mine with a little help from him. I throw in some money to help buy fuel. Right now, I'm gonna try and sell my Stampede (I used to be into RC cars for a little bit) for some money to buy fuel for the upcoming flying season.

The P-40 is indeed a magnificant piece of aeronautical engineering, and next to the P-51 Mustang it is one of my Favourites

watching films is fun too, i always look for the antenna wire/control rods just to see if it is a model (kinda sad, i know) im probably the only 15-year old i know that has seen top Gun, iron eagles, pearl harbour and the Aviator.

And no, Goirish... not nescessarily in that order...
